Adware is a program that installs additional components that
advertise certain products or sites often by delivering popup ads

WIN32 Adware and its different variants is an example of an
adware or more properly a malware. They are software modules that
is attached to the browser, usually Internet Explorer, and used to
display advertising as well as redirect the browser to alternate
sites and alternate search results.
Some adware is a bit more insidious than others. In order to
provide targeted ad banners, Adware often contains another hidden
component that tracks web usage When this occurs, the program is no
longer considered Adware but instead is termed Spyware.
A spyware infestation can create significant unwanted activity,
eat up computer memory disk usage, and network traffic, all of
which slow the computer down. Stability issues, such as application
or system-wide crashes, are also common.
Today adware and spyware infestations are most common security
risk in computers, Programs have been developed in order to detect,
quarantine, and remove adware. As there are many examples of adware
software that are also spyware or malware, many of these detection
programs have been developed to detect, quarantine, and remove
adware as well, although some commercial anti-virus programs can
also detect adware and spyware, or offer a separate spyware
detection package.
There are however a few steps that can make the Removing Adware
process easier: First, make sure you have an up-to-date
anti-spyware scanner. Shutdown all open browser windows and
applications and then disconnect your PC from the Internet before
running a scan. After scanning, reboot the PC even if you were not
prompted by the scanner.
Scan the system with the anti-spyware scanner and allow it to
remove any adware/spyware it finds. Then reboot the PC and scan
again. If the scanner still reports signs of infestation, allow it
to remove any traces and reboot again. It sometimes help to boot in
safe mode and run a complete scan in this mode
The best spyware and adware remedy is avoiding the infestation
to begin with. There will then be no need for removing
adware from the computer memory of your Win32 machine.
