The Beta Version Of Microsoft Spyware Removal Tools

Back in 2005, a free beta version of a Microsoft spyware removal program was released. The program was designed as a tool for Windows users-to aid them in protecting their system from spyware and other malicious software.

The software focused on detecting and removing spyware, as well as reducing the negative effects caused by it, such as the system slowing down, advertisements persistently popping up, and unauthorized monitoring of private user information.

Users found this action taken by Microsoft as positive, appreciating the fact that Microsoft was helping internet users become more aware of spyware and other malware, and how to remove this from their systems.

On the other hand, a few individuals cited doubt over this, since it seemed to indicate that Microsoft was admitting that their operating system was vulnerable and could easily be invaded by some form of spyware or viruses.

Overall though, the beta version of the Microsoft spyware removal program was found by most Microsoft users to be a great tool. It was a program that could scan an entire system in just a few minutes, and also provided options for infected files. To keep up-to-date, the program relied on SpyNet, which is a network of users who share information and keep a constantly renewing list of spyware applications.

The beta version even went beyond spyware removal, alerting a user of any third party trying to access his network through wi-fi, and also spam prevention.

Today though, Microsoft spyware removal tools have evolved to software called Microsoft Windows Defender. This is a full version, but is still offered for free. In order to download the program, your operating system just needs to be validated as a legal version of Windows. This is done at the Microsoft page where Windows Defender can currently be downloaded from the microsoft website.

This program - just out of the beta version -  carries the same properties as the previously released version, and even additional ones. The difference would be with the user interface, which was simplified and therefore much easier to use.

Its advanced features include a scheduler which allows the user to set an in-depth scan at any point of the day, a software explorer which aids the user in changing security settings on the software in his computer, and Allowed Items, which lets the user scan Windows startup programs, and select any programs they wwould liketo run, which Windows Defender has disabled.

Both the current and beta version of the Microsoft spyware removal software serve as great tools for Microsoft users. It's recommended to use this product along with other spyware removal programs.
